Description

May I Enter: A Vampire Game is a consent focused exploration of personal horror using a heavily modified PbtA system. In May I Enter you play vampires who explore the remnants of an ancient vampire civilization, build relationships with mortals, and work to make the world a better place through long-term world shifting projects. May I Enter is an adult focused RPG for 3-6 players that uses d6s.

Eons ago, vampires built a world spanning civilization before modern humans had evolved. These vampires suffereor 3-6 players that uses d6s.d some form of cataclysm, perhaps self-inflicted, and they fell into monstrousness. In Ancient Troy, Helen, yes that Helen, worked with other powerful vampires to bind their kin in magical ritual known as The Binding. Now, vampires are bound to magical limitations, restrictions that require them to build relationships with humanity to gain their approval to skirt those boundaries. Vampires require an invitation to enter a home, they are stopped by moving water, they must count grains cast before them and more.

May I Enter is a game focused on consent and the personal horror of building relationships with humanity over and over again, and having to work to be better, to focus on trying to do good in the world. This is a hopepunk game, one that recognizes it is possible to avoid becoming a monster, even with a lot of loss and trauma over multiple centuries.

This game uses a heavily modified version of the Powered by the Apocalypse system (Thanks Meguey and D. Vincent Baker!) and is a great game for longer chronicles that last at least 6 sessions to get the most out of the downtime system. It can be run successfully as a one-shot, of course. Get your d6s, we recommend 10 for the table, and get ready to play sessions that last 3-5 hours on average, though you can do longer or shorter as well!

Antagonists in May I Enter include humanity, fae, and primoridal vampires from a time before The Binding.
