Barbarians, The

The Barbarians is two complete games in one package, each with its own rules, map, and units. "Sack Rome" covers the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the barbarians from the north and east during the Fourth and Fifth centuries. Since the fall of Rome is almost inevitable, each game is played twice to determine a winner, with the players switching sides between games. The Roman player who holds out the longest wins. "Mongol" covers the invasion of Eastern Europe by the Mongol hordes in the Thirteenth century. The Mongols are swift and powerful, and the failure of the various European states to work together could spell disaster, but the Mongols have only a limited time to complete their conquest. Both games are easy to learn, and fast and fun to play.
