Description

The desert doesn’t care if you survive. Neither does the god waiting at the end of it.

Sanctum of the Whispering God closes out the trilogy in the sand. Your party shares a nightmare of tentacles and darkness, and so does Selarya Goz, the rogue who has been double-crossing people since long before you met. She’ll guide you across the Atarzi Desert to Jucika, a ruin where a ritual to stop an ancient god has already started and already gone wrong. You’re walking into the middle of it.

The adventure runs in three parts. You start in the port city of Miresa. Then comes five days of desert survival, with water and stamina draining every hour and twelve keyed encounters to keep you honest. It ends in the buried ruins, face-to-face with Ixothec.

Inside you’ll find:

  • Full desert survival rules for hunger, thirst, heat, and sandstorms
  • A hireling table of eight named NPCs
  • A complete DCC patron write-up for Ixothec, with three original patron spells
  • Darklighter, an intelligent chaotic longsword worth killing for

32 pages for levels 1-2, for Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG. It works as the conclusion of the Whispering God Trilogy or as a standalone desert crawl.

Series: Secret of the Whispering God opened with a city heist. Island of the Whispering God took to the high seas. Sanctum ends it in the desert.
