Midway Solitaire places you in command of the American carrier task forces in June 1942. You’ll face an automated Japanese BOT representing the Imperial Navy.

Your objective is to achieve your mission goals before Japanese invasion convoys reach their destinations — Midway, the Aleutian Islands, or Hawaii — and establish forward bases threatening the American homeland.

Your decisions—and your risks—determine whether Midway becomes a historic victory… or a disastrous defeat.

This is a compact, fast-playing solo wargame designed for meaningful strategic play in just 15 to 30 minutes.

Optional Cooperative Mode: Two players can cooperate by splitting commands:

• One player commands Task Force 16 (TF-16).
• The other commands Task Force 17 (TF-17) and Midway-based aircraft.

How Midway Solitaire plays each turn:

• You maneuver your carrier task forces to intercept the Japanese.
• You deploy Midway-based patrol aircraft.
• The Japanese AI activates via the next Action Card.
• If forces collide, airstrikes are launched—fast, lethal, and decisive.
• Combat is resolved in just two rapid rounds, keeping the tempo sharp and the stakes high.
