Packed with nearly limitless vintage-era sound crafting potential, massive sonics, and modern digital workflow, the Proton excels as a foundation or addition to any semi-modular synth setup.

Experienced vintage synth players will love the 64-point patch bay, which allows for advanced internal architecture routing and integration with external equipment. However, don’t let that lead you to believe the Proton is for experts only. Its “normalized” semi-modular design means all essential connections are internally wired. Connect your favorite controller (or operate manually) for easy and intuitive sound design potential without connecting a single patch cable.

Creativity and bold sonic character start with Proton’s analog VCOs, which can be operated independently for multi-timbral Paraphonic sounds. Each VCO can generate 5 waveforms plus oscillator sync, pulse width modulation, and individual sub-oscillator sounds. Proton is also loaded with self-oscillating, multimode series/parallel VCFs, 2 ASD envelopes with looping, reverse, inverse, & bounce options, and 2 ASDR envelopes for modulating the multi-mode filters. As if that’s not enough to keep you busy crafting unique sounds and textures, a wave folder, 5-waveform LFO, and a noise generator--and the ability to sum external audio with each filter, the Behringer Proton allows you to take waveform generation to new heights, in one bold, blue Eurorack compatible module.
