Northwest Passage

Description

On paper, it all looks pretty cut and dry: a simple job — fly north to the United Energy Coalition's LAPUTA oil rig, download some data files, and bring them back to Night City. To top it all off, the job pays well, offers little risk, and requires almost no effort. As dirty work goes, this one comes off pretty clean and easy. But out here in the frozen Alaskan wastelands, that paper doesn't cut it. And it doesn't even begin to explain the problems: the plane crash, the bounty hunters, the fact that everyone shoots first and doesn't bother asking questions. Most of all, it's the fraggin' cold! It must be 50 below with the wind! If only your cyberoptics weren't freezing over and if only your damn arm would loosen up, you'd be able to fight back. Then maybe you'd be able to figure out who's behind this ugly little setup.
