Forgotten Catacombs of Osipitis, The

60,000 years ago, in the Northern Region of The Beyond, 65 years before the events of The Mystery at Blythe, a beautiful land became an abhorrent nightmare. People in the capital city of Millendale and the historical city of Osipitis have been hearing vile and reprehensible sounds in the middle of the night, sounds that render even the most powerful of the living petrified. Citizens have been disappearing, with some only returning as corpses. A long-dormant evil, unknown to the Northern Region for centuries, has been defiling the land. As the darkness spreads, the evil grows. The daylight does not seem as bright, nor does the sun appear to remain in the sky as it used to. The nights grow longer, and the light of the moon seems shrouded, as if there is an evil hiding in the shadows that seeks to lure the living into a state of isolation and fear. Even when the wind blows, it feels cold and hollow, almost as if something not of this world is within it. Those who seek the truth disappear, and those who acquire it die. Someone must stop the darkness before it consumes the light… A 5E adventure for characters of levels 1-15, this grimdark campaign is designed for intermediate to advanced players and GMs.
