The Conduit is a journaling solo horror RPG where you play a character - here, in our contemporary world - who begins to receive telepathic messages.

The game was inspired by the real-life intersection of spirituality and science-fiction: the UFO cultists who believe that flying saucers will take them to Heaven. The mediums who claim to channel civilizations from inside the Hollow Earth. The New Age gurus who are guided by extraterrestrial forces.

The Conduit will prompt you to build a one-of-a-kind mythology, unfolding through a series of diary entries as you discover the source of the telepathic messages, the true nature of the cosmos, and a threat that looms over the world…

MECHANICS

The Conduit is a writing exercise that incorporates elements of crafting. The game revolves around 29 journal entries, one for each day of a Moon cycle. It is meant to be played in 29 consecutive days, but in reality, you can do it in any timeframe that works for you. You can take days off, or even complete the entire journey in a couple of sittings!

You will be presented with a prompt for each journal entry. Most of them will feature an element of chance (in the form of a die roll and a chart), but they will all require you to unleash your imagination. From time-to-time, you will be asked to interact with your surroundings in order to find a solution to a question. You might be asked to flip open a random book from your bookshelf to find a word, or look at the expiration date of a food item in your pantry to find out when a future event will happen to your character. And there is the aforementioned crafting element: at certain points you will be asked to glue something into your journal or create a collage. Might require some glue, scissors, etc.
