Description

El Dorado uses a roll and move mechanic to search designated areas on the map where treasures have been know to be hidden or lost. Player's pay for equipment and attempt to recover these lost treasures and return them to their starting point. The player with the most treasure at the end of the game wins!

El Dorado hails from the "golden age" of Parker Brothers. During this time Parker Brothers put extra care into the quality and design of their products. The box measures 24" x 14" x 2" and is made from thicker than usual cardboard, 1/8" thick to be precise. The map measures 29" x 23" and is made of 3/16" heavy stock board. Other components include 6 metal pawns in the shape of oil lanterns, 4 dice (2 of which are unique dice for the game), numerous heavy cardboard poker chips to represent the money and a booklet containing information on the treasures found in the game.

This game is rarity that would fit perfectly in any collector's collection!

Please note: the rules, when read, will lead a person to believe there are 193 treasures on the board and that there is card for each of these. This is not the case, we believe this number is for the total number of circles, squares, and triangles on the board. However, only the squares and triangles represent treasure. We have counted the squares and triangles on the board and they number 65 and 30 respectively. The game comes with 95 treasure cards, not the 193 as the rules would lead a person to believe.
