Description

Please note that this is a DTP (Desk Top Publishing) game designed on a desktop computer and all components, including the counters which will have to be cut and mounted, are printed on paper. These are designed by some very well-known designers and are a low cost alternative to today's professionally produced games. On rare occasions, some of these games are reproduced by other companies with higher quality components including die-cut counters but most of them are not. If you believe this game to have a professionally produced version, please contact us with your inquiry and we will help you to locate it if it does indeed exist.

Heavy Panzers at Kursk depicts the German Tiger 505, PzJag 656, Co. 216 and others, busting through the Russian defenses and racing to the third defense line. Tiger. Elephant and Grizzly Bear tanks were all feared weapons and fairly new. The Elephant could destroy a tank from 2 miles away! The Grizzly Bear was equally as devastating. The Tiger was unstoppable. However, the Russians had packed the lines with extensive mines, and they had their own killers: the T34, SU 152, SU 122, KV 1 tanks. The Russians knew the attack was coming and both sides were surprised when the Russian line broke rather quickly when Operation Zitadelle began. For the Germans, they were not ready to release their reserves to exploit the sudden opportunity; if had they, Kursk may have been very different. Heavy Panzers at Kursk is for lovers of tactical quasi-operational systems, platoons, lots of AFVs. There’s even an air game showcasing the devastating effects of the Ju87G and HS 129B, armed with 37mm AT guns, the PTAB bombs and Sturmovik AT.

Tigers, Elephants, Grizzly Bears (Brummbar), Beast-eaters (Su 152, 122), Pz IV, Pz III, T 34, T70, Su 76, KV1, unique chit type system creates a wild game everytime--nothing is certain!
