Historical Miniatures

Historical miniatures wargaming is one of the oldest and most enduring branches of the hobby, and a discipline in which research, painting, and the game itself are inseparable from a genuine interest in the periods being fought over. Noble Knight has been a trusted source of historical miniatures and rules across every era and scale for decades.

We carry figures and rules spanning the full sweep of military history, including ancient and medieval warfare, pike and shot, the age of sail, Napoleonic campaigns, the American Civil War, both World Wars, and modern conflicts. Manufacturers from the hobby's founding names include Minifigs, Essex, Baccus, Old Glory, and Gripping Beast, and current producers like Warlord Games, Battlefront, and Perry Miniatures are also represented. Our selection includes new releases from active manufacturers alongside older and discontinued lines that surface with the purchases we make regularly through our Buy-Sell-Trade program.

Yes, Noble Knight Games specializes in both new and used tabletop games across all categories, including RPGs, board games, wargames, miniatures, historical miniatures, collectible card games, dice, supplies, and accessories. We purchase new items directly from hundreds of game publishers and distributors across the USA and internationally. Every pre-owned item we purchase is hand-inspected and graded by our experienced team using our detailed grading system. Noble Knight has been buying, selling, and trading used games since 1997, making us one of the most trusted sources for out-of-print and hard-to-find gaming products.

Noble Knight uses a detailed grading scale from Shrink Wrapped to Fair. Shrink Wrapped (SW) means factory sealed; the condition visible through the wrap is noted. Mint (M) means perfect, brand new condition. Near Mint (NM) means like-new with only the slightest wear. Excellent (EX) means lightly used, but almost like new, and may show very small spine creases or slight corner wear, but no tears or marks. Board and wargames in Excellent condition are considered punched unless noted as unpunched. Very Good (VG) means clearly used, complete, and usable. Fair means well-used but complete. Every item is hand-inspected and strictly graded. A dual grading system is used when the exterior differs significantly from the interior. For example, a boxed item may be graded with: 'box condition/contents condition' notation.

Noble Knight stocks historical miniatures spanning virtually every major period of warfare and history: Ancients (Greek, Roman, Persian), Medieval (Dark Ages, Crusades, Hundred Years War), Renaissance, Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War, Franco-Prussian War, Colonial Wars, World War I, World War II (all theaters), Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War, and modern conflicts. Product lines include major manufacturers like Warlord Games (Bolt Action), Battlefront Miniatures (Flames of War), Perry Miniatures, Victrix, Gripping Beast, Essex Miniatures, Old Glory, Crusader Miniatures, and hundreds of smaller specialty producers. Noble Knight stocks historical miniatures in all popular scales, including 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 54mm, and 1/72, 1/285, 1/300, 1/600 scales. The most common scales are 15mm (popular for large battles and economic armies) and 28mm (popular for skirmish games and detailed painting). Different historical periods tend to favor different scales; 6mm and 10mm are common for epic-scale battles like Napoleonic or World War II, while 28mm dominates skirmish games like Bolt Action and medieval combat. Product listings indicate scale, material (metal, plastic, or resin), and manufacturer so that you can find miniatures compatible with your existing collection or chosen rule system.
