Kenzer & Co.

David, along with six other stalwart RPG enthusiasts, formed KenzerCo in 1993. Their initial goal was to make a tactical miniatures game with all the rules on a disk-shaped base, but David quickly crushed that idea, saying it would bomb just like the "newfangled" CCGs would. Instead, they released a stunningly complex and heavily researched campaign setting for D&D, the Kingdoms of Kalamar setting. After some decent success, David gambled away the company on such risky ventures as "Knights of the Dinner Table," the first-ever monthly gaming comic book; a license to produce HackMaster 4th edition RPG; and an official license for D&D products and comics.
