Description

As the 19th century draws to a close, the monarchies of Europe struggle to stay relevant in this rapidly changing age. Whether it’s the court of King Frederik in Saxony or the court of the aging Queen Victoria of the British Empire trying to maintain rule over the faraway riches of Australia, they all have to contend with the rising political forces clamoring to grab their share of the pie in the nuclear revolution. As ideologies clash in parliaments, entrepreneurs like yourself must do their best to make sure they have plenty of friends in the halls of power.

Introducing the dynamic Court mechanic, offering diverse strategies to enhance gameplay. Through this action, players can acquire Thaler, Action tiles, Victory Points, Achievement Tokens, and bolster their income. Additionally, control of Parties amplifies scoring potential during the King’s Day phase by scoring the unique agendas, with the Dominant Party leader scoring agendas twice, increasing tension between players. Explore new territories with the new Experiment boards, delving into Court actions and leveraging Special Chaining tiles for up to three Actions per turn, adding depth and excitement to your gameplay experience.

Why do you absolutely need it?

  • Introducing the new Court mechanic: deploy Workers as Politicians into Parties for immediate rewards and compete for leadership, gaining a chance to participate in their unique scoring systems.
  • Plenty of new components are included: Court sideboard, additional Contracts, Action Tiles, Party Scoring Agendas, and most importantly, brand new Experiment Boards!
  • New Action and Experiments make the game feel fresh and challenge even experienced players to adapt to new conditions.
  • Can be combined both with the base map as well as with the Australia expansion!
