Description

There’s more than one point of view, more than one way to read the world.

With Visions, the Mythpop universe of Epigoni broadens to embrace new backdrops for your epic sagas.

The setting of Epigoni is a flexible backdrop for any story the group wants to tell: every Epigoni campaign creates its own Vision, describing the style and register (or Narrative Pact) as well as the content of its adventures.

Will you choose turf wars for the heart of Mexico within the wolrld of Aztlan, inner turmoil in post-Soviet Russia with Midnight in Moscow, or Mala Yerba, the sprawling, corrupt Everwhither that’s both a home and a prison for the darkest depth of the human soul?

This volume also adds another playable Destiny to Epigoni’s roster: Atheists, mortals who accidentally tore through the Veil of Maya and now hold enormous powers, making them a threat to the entire World of Myth.

-

Epigoni is a roleplaying game that pits you as the unworthy scions of Deities, Legends and Incarnations of ideas: common people, hanging in the balance between day-to-day life and a new dimension filled with dark plots and feuding Myth Entities.

Stare down the Incarnation of the Eighties as you sip Ambrosia from a Martini glass. Defend Rap from the slander thrown by Antonio Salieri. Fight in the turf war between King Arthur and the Big Bad Wolf.

Defy Fate. Discover who you really are.

Epigoni runs on an original game system, CopperHead.

In the CopperHead system, players describe their actions by using the Keywords that define their characters to try and make the current Challenge as easy as possible. Dice rolls in the CopperHead System only require the use of eight-sided dice and players only roll when the outcome of an action is uncertain. The result of the roll determines the resolution of the action: will it succed or will it fail? And what negative consequences will it entail? In CopperHead, failing a roll only means you'll pay a higher price!
