Cossack Platoons

Plastuny - these scouts are named after a word meaning to lie flat on the ground. These small groups operated in enemy territory collecting information and captives. Their faces and hands were blackened with soot during the night activities and they were armed with a wide variety of weapons, their equipment kept to a minimum in order to maintain their mobility. They preferred sabers and long firearms. These monks usually avoided combat and limited themselves to scouting activities, causing confusion in the enemy ranks and attempts to shoot enemy commanders.
