Cherry Street Games was established by Adam Byer, who wanted to take his life-long love of board games to the next level. Adam grew up on Cherry Street, located in the Elmwood district of Berkeley, California. As a kid, he often invented games to play with his friends. In 1991, he invented and self-published a two player abstract strategy board game called Kinesis. It was a critical success and sold in small game stores throughout the country for a couple of years. Fast forward to the present where the iPad and other mobile devices provide great platforms for traditional board games and work very well with the movement mechanics in Kinesis. Adam redesigned Kinesis to optimize it for playing online with friends and random opponents. Today, Kinesis for Apple iPad and iPhone, Android, and Kindle devices is a more dynamic game that appeals to a wider variety of players in the digital world.
