Description

This is the first of an occasional series of wargame books under the title Wargaming in History. This series will set out to provide books for those who love wargaming and history. They will include what we hope will be inspiring photographs of wargames, beautiful uniform illustrations, maps and accounts of historical battles and the way they might be wargamed, and indeed in every case they have been.

This first book concentrates on the Seven Years War. We have picked three unusual or less well known battles, not least because they did not involved Frederick the Great, but rather Ferdinand of Brunswick who was commanding the Allied army in western Europe against France.

The three battles we have chosen offer different possibilities. Each battle is described as it took place and the camapgin background to it has been briefly set out. After each battle, there is a section developing a particular aspect.
