Description

Probably the least known and most misunderstood theatre of war in our history has been the campaign in Asia, in the theater known as the CBI (China-Burma-India). This is, in part, due to the fact that most of the fighting on the allied side was done by our allies. It was primarily a conflict to protect colonial territories of the British, French, and Dutch. America's involvement outside of the 14th Air Force and Merrill's Marauders was very limited. Our big project was the retaking of the islands in the Pacific. Even so, it is a vital part of the entire picture of events that transpired during the Second World War and worthy of study.
