Make any combination of twenty moves per turn, maneuvering on land and sea to outwit your opponents. Mount two soldiers on your elephant. Move your elephant to a docking space and bring a ship to port. Your elephant boards the ship and you set sail for an amphibious assault. Come to another docking space, your elephant disembarks and your soldiers dismount to capture enemy pieces. Knights jump over the heads of your men. Chariots carry a soldier with the farthest range on land. Capture an enemy ship or galleon at a docking space and conven it to your own fleet. Beware the enemy's ability to recapture on your turn.

While the rules are easy, the play is deceptively complex as a myriad of tactical and strategical situations are presented on every turn. It may take a lifetime to master, but you will never tire playing CONQUEST® as the games become increasingly more fun as you continually discover the fine nuances of play.

The 4-player game is unique in that all players must get into the fray immediately. All conditions of victory require... demand active, aggressive play. Passive play is suicide. Any time you can attack and win more that you lose, it is to your advantage. Thus, every game is fast moving with action on every round. One winner per game. There is no second place. You may play the regular game (every man for themselves) or partners. However, partners may not talk to each other so that the strongest player cannot dictate the moves of his partner. Players must look ahead to see how to coordinated their moves with each other to bring about victory.
