In short, Harsh Realities is a role playing game publisher. They specialize in wonky, uniquely envisioned, genre mash-up game worlds and their very own dice mechanic called Sixcess, which is a d6 dice pool-based game system. Each game world or setting, however, is a metaphoric mirror to their own human condition in that there is inevitably darkness in the form of struggle, pain, strife, and even death, hell-bent on destroying or at least consuming each world or setting. These grim reflections of our world are but verdant fields bursting with potential to give way to a plethora of heroes and their heroic acts, which is where you come in. Harsh Realities strives to give the players of their games the heroic role to save the world, or at least their little corner of it, and possibly even reap some rewards for doing so. The core of the company is composed of three guys from relatively different backgrounds, but all found a love for games and gaming somewhere along the way. One by way of literature, one by way of theatre, and one by way of visual media.
