Our adventure started, as many adventures do, at the gaming table on a winter weekend. Alex our Dungeon Master was working with Josh and Brendan to create the environment for the session out of Lego. Josh had come up with the idea, and is a huge fan of Lego so he had tons of pieces to use. After laying out the environment the group began to show up and play. They loved it, and we decided that this was how we would play from now on. At the second session Josh pulls out a Lego dice tower that looked like a cute little house, and the idea snaps. Let’s launch this on Kickstarter! Alex is a veteran of the toy industry and knows all there is to know about manufacturing plastics, Josh has the design experience and Lego love, and Brendan has a thorough understanding of fulfillment and logistics. The party was formed. After successfully launching on Kickstarter, Covid-19 struck, and there were delays, but we kept pushing the factory and worked to get the brick set out to our backers as fast as we could. Along the way we made some important partnerships with big names in the industry. Nord Games LLC, one of the largest online retailers of Dungeons and Dragons merchandise reached out and is now fulfilling our sets. We hope to move onto brick and mortar retail soon.
