Description

This is the 3rd printing of the original version of the game that started a phenomenon. Only about 3,000 copies of this exceptional piece of gaming history were produced, making each and every one a jewel suitable for the most serious of collectors.

This specific copy stands in reasonably good condition. The specific components are described in detail below:

Box - The box has a tear in the bottom left corner and top right corner that do not seem to go all the way into the box. The cover sheet is significantly stained but the stains do not stand out more prominently than the illustration. The box bottom has wear along all of its edges, but has no tears or marks. It is to be considered Fair+ in its present state.

Vol. 1 Men & Magic - The first and most recognizable of the three booklets included in this set. There is a 1" dent in the back cover that extends through about 1/2 of the book. There are a few very tiny stains on the cover. There is a thumb stain along 2" of the book's outer edge. In sum total the book could be considered VG+ on average.

Vol. 2 Monsters & Treasure - There are a few light stains on the back cover and a stain on the edge of the pages similar to the first book. There are a few very tiny stains on pages 1-4. Otherwise the book is easily in EX condition with minimal wear to the book's edges and not a crease to be found. Factoring in the light staining, however, it must be called VG+.

Vol. 3 The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures - There are a few light stains on the cover, as well as a stain on the edge of the pages much like the other two books. Similarly to Vol. 2 there are virtually no creases other than a slight bend in the top left corner of the back cover and the last few pages. VG/EX overall.

Reference & Correction Sheets - These loose leaf sheets are all present but have substantive staining on the front and back page as well as the edges. Fair/VG+ overall.

In sum total the set is Fair/VG+, and additional pictures of the set are available on request. This is a rare opportunity to get one of the most notable artifacts in the history of gaming. These are only available once in a blue moon, so secure yours now!
