Review: More of an update than a complete revision, this is an excellent version of the original Gamma World game system first released in 1978. Complete with new artwork and a few revised rules, this version really streamlines the original into an easy, playable and learnable system that is much less rules-heavy than any of the complete revisions that followed. The set contains detailed rule books covering everything from character creation, mutations, and futuristic weapons, to extensive background info, and an introductory adventure, "Rite of Passage". All in all, this is probably the smoothest playing and easiest to run versions of the Gamma World game,highly recommended for players and collectors alike.
