The trucks of Graebner’s column are protected against small arms fire, but lack the speed of the half-tracked platoon. So, the half-tracked platoon will speed ahead and open the way for the slower trucks which will follow closely and secure the gains made by the charge. In Flames Of War The trucks that went into combat with Graebner’s assault were reinforced with sandbags, 55-gallon drums filled with sand and grain, and anything else that would offer the slightest bit of protection for the troops inside. Though improvised, the troops were relatively safe from enemy small-arms fire.
If a Reinforced Truck is Destroyed, Infantry teams carried as passengers successfully survive their Passenger Save on a roll of 3+.
