Review: This deck is one of two add-ons for either 3.x Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder that spice up those moments when your dice grant you the ultimate victory or rub your face in the lowest defeat imaginable.
This Critical Hit is meant to be used as a random tool, when someone confirms a critical hit, they draw a card. On each card are different damage types: Bludgeoning, Piercing, Slashing, and Magic. Oh yes! Even wizards can get critical hits with spells that require touch attacks or ranged attack rolls!
My only beef with the deck are the baseline rules that come with it. While they`re suitable for the `neato` effect when rolling critical hits, they don`t give the players enough control.
For that, I use a workaround. At the beginning of the game, I hand out three cards per player. Then the player gets to pick their poison when they critically hit the monsters.
Overall, a great addition to a great game.
