Boxed Game New

Similar to Avalon Hill's Britannia and Maharaja but with more detail, this game covers the history of Spain from 320BCE to 1200. It gives up to 5 players the chance to re-enact and change the history of the Iberian Peninsula, by leading 30 different tribes and peoples from the time of the Punic Wars to the beginning of the Reconquista. Continually, new invaders step into the limelight of history, while previous invaders and cultures disappear. Coalitions are formed and broken up time and again, making for a succession of ever-changing strategic and tactical problems to be solved. Each player controls five or six nations, one at a time, as they appear on history's stage and tries to make each one grow to be as big and powerful as possible before it is pushed aside. Unlike the Avalon Hill games, players bid for the different tribes and peoples. This auction system insures a different game each time. Five scenarios. One 33x23 inch game map, 640 beautiful counters, English rulebook, scenarios, and play aids.
