France 1940 is an operational-level simulation of the German invasion of France in 1940. Units are corps and divisions, with important regiments and brigades represented. The map covers the German-Franco border, from the parts of the Maginot Line to the English Channel. Six German and eleven Allied orders of battle let players experiment with game balance and explore various "what if” scenarios.

Review: This is a game I cut my teeth on! Simple rules, ideal for solo play & I love the various orders of battle that depict the `what if` scenarios. This game is perfect for the novice gamer & can be played in just a few hours. On the down side, the rules are a little TOO simplistic for experienced gamers, especially terrain effects on movement, NO effects on combat in cities & a combat results table that just isn`t bloodthirsty enough!
