America Triumphant covers the unexpected German offensive in the thinly-held portion of the Allied front in 1944 that forced the Allies to face the possibility that a beaten Germany might still be able to delay or even turn the tide of the war in the west. Players are placed in the positions of the commanders of the German and Allied armies in December 1944.
Game scale is 2.5 miles per hex, covering the battlefield on a 34” x 22” map with large hexes for ease of play. Units are represented at brigade/regiment and battalion level. Each turn represents one day.
Game system is chit-drawn activation of corps (Allied) and army (German) headquarters which control friendly units within their range.
Components: one 34” x 22” map, 280 playing pieces, rules and charts.
