Description

AN EPIC WORLD OF HEROIC ADVENTURE
The Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign setting is an official, fully detailed world for the Dungeons and Dragons universe. So balanced, integrated and believable that after an adventure you'll feel the grit between your teeth, taste the blood in your mouth and smell the laurels of success!

This 272-page hardcover book details the history of the nations and the peoples of Tellene, including six human subraces, all the standard fantasy races of D&D (like elves and dwarves), and a few unique races like half-hobgoblins. (In fact, full-blooded hobgoblins are also a prevalent civilized race with their own independent kingdoms.) A world filled with powerful sorceries, strange races, clashing armies, deadly political maneuvering, chivalrous heroes, scheming villains, fantastic gods and their zealous priesthoods, ancient tongues, clandestine power groups and much, much moreā€¦ Thus are the lands of Tellene. Geographic and historical research were used to create Tellene's topography, populations, armies, cities and laws. Yet, there are schools of magic, priesthoods, and supernatural marvels exemplifing the aura of high fantasy that pervades the realms.

From the southern depths of the mysterious Vohven Jungle to the vast northern savanna of the Drhokker horse-lords, the Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign setting describes every kingdom, race and topographical feature, and includes two brilliantly painted fold-out maps depicting the eastern and western halves of the continent.

While this printing of the Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign setting was the first official setting book released for D&D v3.0, it focuses on the setting and not on the v3.0 rules. In fact, there are less than 2 total pages of supplemental rules information out of the entire 272-page hardcover! This tome is perfect for any fantasy campaign, regardless of whatever rules system you choose.
