Kana, the granddaughter of the elf leader Kith Kanan, is capsized and captured by the Dargonesti. She and her imaginative gnome companion Quix are dragooned into a series of escalating slave and plunder raids on the elven mainland. The Dargonesti are driven by a mesmerizing leader, Coryphene, who falls in love with the elf maiden. Only Kana, through pluck and heritage, can avert the disastrous war looming between the elven sects.
