Each of the players leads a band of Caribbean pirates. Your goal is to become captain of as many of the 6 ships in the small pirate fleet on the game board as possible. As a captain you gain the biggest part of the loot. But be careful because as pirates crowd onto the ships, you may find yourself pushed overboard, having to swim to the next island and stay there for a while. At the end of the game the player with the most points wins.
HISPAŃOLA is a trick-taking game that is played over an agreed upon number of rounds. A round is a number of hands equal to the number of players in the game. A short game ends after 1 round. A standard game ends after 2 rounds. However, players can play as many rounds as they can agree upon for a complete game.
