Way of the Daimyo is a resource for courtier and high-ranking characters in the empire of Rokugan. The options presented within allow characters to command courts, armies, cities, provinces, or even the Empire itself.
New mechanical systems for maintaining lands, troops, and cities. After your samurai has proven him or herself on the fields of glory, your lord has granted your armies of your own. Take on vassals and send other samurai to do your bidding. You can become a general or governor to lord over your own people. Spend your points to buy new features for city or even specialized types of troops.
Expanded character options for the courtier classes and schools You can become an ambassador to your clan, buy favors, and make allies. Spend points to take diplomatic advantages of court to further you’re the goals of your lord or of those of your own making. Feats, schools, and prestige classes representing the upper echelon of Rokugani society.
To further diversify your character, you can take prestige classes to specialize in your field. They include Ambassador (create policy and laws for your clan), Warlord (build your own armies), Sensei (build your own schools), Temple Keeper (create new magic and spells), Provincial Governor (build cities and rule them).
A new Glory system is introduced in this book. Fame and political status has been divided each allowing characters to climb those ladders with their own separate perks and advantages.
