Review: I purchased my copy when it came out, back when you could find such books in EB Games shows how old the copy is. In my opinion, it is essential to run the Forgotten Realms, because it goes into further detail the major gods of Faerun, and then goes on to talk about the minor deities as well as the gods of the Elves, Drow, Half-Orcs/Orcs, Gnomes and Halflings. On top of that, it provides you with 20 new divine based Prestige Classes and the template for the Chosen of Bane.

The only reason why I give it a 9 is that I wish they could have gone into a bit more detail on some of the minor gods, but I understand why they didn`t. The book would be the size of the Campaign book if they had. Yes, it`s 3.0; but it`s easily convertible to 3.5 or even Pathfinder which I`m doing right now.
