LOOT

LOOT requires a group of 2-5 players and one GM. Each player is an adventurer helping out this newly founded city, while getting paid in sweet shiny loot. LOOT is designed with the LUMEN 2.0 system. It's a diceless RPG that switches back and forth between narrative exploration of the world, and quick punchy tactical combat. During exploration, your adventurers wander the world. The GM will present challenges and obstacles for you to overcome. Rather than relying on skill lists and dice, instead your characters have 3 Approaches to solving problems: Force, Flow, and Focus. These Approaches are resources that you spend throughout the quest, overcoming any obstacle that comes your way as long as you have the points to spend. But as the quest goes on, you're characters will get worn out, and then the complications arise! When a fight breaks out, you use a 6x6 grid to represent the adventurers and the various enemies and monsters they'll face. On their turn, adventurers use their weapons and magic items to power themselves up and take out their foes. Combat is all about positioning and managing the resources of your weapons, rather than rolling dice to hit and deal damage. Weapons have Basic and Charged abilities. Basic abilities can be used at any time, and are a reliable source of damage during a fight. When you need a little something extra, you can use the Charged ability of your weapon, giving you a special ability to use that turn. Weapons get tired, just like you, and you need to recover before you can use a weapon's Charged action again. Fights go back and forth between adventurers and monsters until one side is left standing! Your character is entirely defined by the loot they have equipped. Your Health, Armor, and Approaches all come from your equipment, and your weapons and magic items give you cool abilities to use in and out of combat! As you swap out loot cards across your many quests, you'll see these adventurers take on a number of different forms.
