Description

When the first tanks rumbled across the wire in September 1916 their crews did not know that they were the pioneers of a new way of war. In the Second Word War tanks enabled numerically inferior forces to split up and destroy bigger less mobile armies. The Germans showed what tanks could do with their victories between 1939 and 1942. The Allies learned from their mistakes and in 1945 Germany was crushed between the massed tank armies of Russia, the United Sates and Britain.
