Description

Shingen Takeda was born as the son of Nobutora Takeda, the governor of Kai. Because he was unethical, Shingen followed in his father's footsteps and became the governor of Kai Province. Shingen devoted himself to the invasion of slips and put pressure on the powerful clans in Shinano. They turned against Kenshin by relying on Kenshin Uesugi of Echigo. The famous Battle of Kawanakajima was in September 1561. Shingen directed his detachment and tried to pincer the Uesugi army to the opposite shore of Kawanakajima from both sides. Kenshin saw through this, crossed the Chikuma River, and drove to Takeda's headquarters. It is said that the famous one-on-one combat took place at this time.
