LF-F-07 (Shooter)

The Intergalatic Bureau of Planetary Survey and Standards (IBSS) has devised a way of classifying alien life forms. The "LF" denotes a type of living creature; the second position (after the dash) denotes it's social class or function; the final series of numbers represents it's position of discovery. By the time of discovery of this life form, the IBSS began common use of old NATO style nicknames (like "Shooter" for this one.)

It has been reported that this LF 's is capable of emplying a form of projectile with hyper velocity. To date, no remnants of any projectiles have been found; just cleanly sliced entry and exit wounds on it's targets. The wounds were seared with the passage of the mysterious projectile to where not one drop of blood was to be found on the victum. When a patrol was sent out to recover the body, only drag marks could be found where the body was. The trail lasted for only a few meters.

The IBSS strongly suspects that these Anthropidal Insectoids might thrive off of tissue as well as plant life.
