Description

At the beginning of the Burmese battlefield in the late World War II, the armored troops of the Republic of China used American armored vehicles. Until the late 1980s, although the M-48, the main combat vehicle of the US military aid, was equipped with upgrades, it could no longer meet the needs of future combat power.

In 1984, the Army Combat Vehicle Development Center cooperated with General Dynamics of the United States to develop the second-generation main combat vehicle, named CM-11 Tiger Fighting Vehicle.

CM-11 is the first combat vehicle developed by the Army of the Republic of China, also known as M-48H H stands for Hybrid. A special-edition vehicle with a firing control system. A total of 450 vehicles have been produced. It has been in service since the 1990s and is the main combat vehicle in Taiwan's front line.

The main difference from the M-48/M-60 Patton series is the combination of the turret and chassis in appearance. The main gun is upgraded to the American M-68A1 105mm, which is matched with the American M1A1 gun firing control system of the same level, and thermal imaging. Instrument, laser rangefinder, etc. greatly improve the viewing ability, and its performance surpasses that of M-60A3.

The commander tower on the turret uses the URDAN commander tower developed by Israel and is equipped with 50 anti-aircraft machine guns. The loading hand side is equipped with a semi-ring self-defense general-purpose machine gun. Two smoke grenade launchers are added in front of the turret, and atmospheric data sensing is added at the rear Rod. In order to improve the protection against anti-tank weapons, the Zhongshan Academy of Sciences developed a reactive armor block in the 2000s with reference to the French design. This equipment was not mass-produced, and only a few vehicles were equipped.

Models & Model Kits are supplied unpainted and unassembled unless otherwise noted.
