Driftwood Publishing began as a private publisher specializing in role-playing games and related products of the "adventure game" industry. Based out of Provo, Utah (about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City) Driftwood Publishing began as tool for the production and distribution of The Riddle of Steel. Seeing and feeling the lack of believable and workable combat systems in fantasy games The Riddle of Steel began as just that--a supplemental combat system for any game. With time (and lots of work) the game grew into its own, taking form into the most innovative RPG to hit the market in recent memory.
